Kaitlyn, I really loved looking at the baby mangoes! And I appreciate your reflection about there always being hope, even when it doesn't feel that way. You've reminded me of a teaching of Prophet Muhammad where he said, "if the end of the world comes, and you have a date palm seed in your hand, plant it." Really reminds you that no matter how hopeless it looks you should still do your part.
Kaitlyn thanks for this great reminder that there is always something good we can focus on in trying times (my part of the world is heading into fire season shortly and my son is a wildfire firefighter so it gets intense).
When I got to your point about what is real and what is fake I almost laughed out loud because, of course, this is exactly what's been up for me the past month or so. I've been writing about releasing the expectations of our childhood to learn what is most important to us, rather than coasting in autopilot holding unquestioned beliefs. Real vs fake. Boundaries. I love the affirmation of this I saw while reading your piece💕
So eloquently written, speaking straight through my soul.
As I read your words, I felt like I was right beside you, having an outer body experience if you will, feeling all your feelings - aesthetics included - sort of like a time warp. You never cease to amaze me. Thank you for the peak into my home across a few time zones.
Hi Kaitlyn - I'm a huge advocate of choosing to shine where I can. Happiness, gratitude, being a light to others all make a difference in our world where there's so many doing it tough.
Oh wow, that must be intense especially as a mom. Where are you located?
And I love that the real vs fake topic was relevant! It's comical when it hits so directly 😂 even if it stings sometimes 😅 I'm going to have to check out your writing. It sounds like what your writing about is so important and right up my alley ❤️ if there's an article I should check out, please do post it below so others can find it too.

I love this, Noha. I will look at dates in a new way now. Thank you for sharing this teaching!
“now is the time to build from the heart—not from the ego” - yes!!!
Anything that has gone well on Substack has been when I did it from the heart. 💕
I love that you said this, Mika! This is what I've noticed with my own Substack, too!!
