Scorpio Season: Everyday is Halloween When We’re Afraid of Intimacy
Creating a safe space to take off the mask and lean into deeper connections.
Hi, I’m Kaitlyn 👋
I write about real life through the lens of astrology. My goal is to help as many people as possible learn to love themselves for who they are—dark parts and all. I believe the parts we were taught to hide are where our true gifts lie.
My focus is to inspire you to feel confident enough to shine without the fear, regardless of the expectations of others.
There’s no mistake that Halloween happens during Scorpio season.
Everyday we walk around with metaphorical masks on our faces, meeting others on the street, smiling when we’re not even happy, saying “I’m fine” when we’re actually dying inside, and holding back our true feelings in fear of rejection or *insert your special brand of fear here.*
Everyday is Halloween when we’re afraid of intimacy—into-me-see.1
Before we can be completely comfortable sharing our whole, true selves with another, we need to feel comfortable being ourselves in the comfort of our own company.
This evening as I danced around my living room (a common occurrence these days) seemingly alone, I noticed another presence in the room. It wasn’t a ghost, per se, but it was someone I haven’t seen in a long while. My mind went to imagining a handsome gentleman coming to sweep me away for a dance, so I met where I imagined his eyes to be, but he wasn't there. My eyes darted lower, realising this guest was a lot smaller than the man I had first imagined. It was a young girl, shorter than me, her head reaching about mid-thigh. As we danced together I was brought to tears of joy that she felt safe enough to join me. I wonder if she felt pride that I, too, felt safe enough to dance with her. We twirled around without a care in the world as we held eachother in the moment of vulnerability—building trust. She was my inner child, I realised.
The sign of Scorpio demands authenticity. It’s the only sign that will completely destroy itself in the name of finding its soul. It’s the phoenix rising from the ashes, transforming time and time again because to know pain is the only way we can truly know pleasure. Each time we rise from the ashes, a layer of what was never ours burns away, leaving only what is true.
Some of my most painful moments have been in relationship with Scorpios, and my most pleasurable moments, too. The Scorpios of my past have taught me how to truly harness my internal power, how to surrender to forces outside of my control, and how to truly see myself and others. They taught me how to be seen, soul bare, vulnerable, and to still feel beautiful and worthy in the process of being fully exposed. They taught me how to be present with what is, without needing it to be anything other than what it is. Part of this process has been by walking me through the deepest, darkest pain of my life—or pushing me into the fire—pain that I wouldn’t wish on another, and pain that I needed to feel in order to truly grow.
This month, during Scorpio Season, I invite you to join me in being more honest and vulnerable—whether with yourself or with others in your life—in order to build deeper, more meaningful connections.
How can you show up as yourself in the moment, live time, without a mask?
It may look like:
Giving someone a genuine compliment instead of holding it in
Naming discomfort if boundaries are crossed, and taking action to create a safer space
Telling someone how you truly feel (positive or negative, or anything in between), or writing about it if you’re not ready to say it out loud
Releasing ownership of anything outside of your control
Seeing a situation as it is instead of trying to make it into something you want it to be
For a more in depth look into your own chart, check to see which house is occupied by the sign of Scorpio—pop the answer in the comments and I will give you a little insight into which area of life you’re being called to lean into more authentically.
To go a step further, look to your natal Pluto placement. How can you lean more deeply in the sign and house of where Pluto resides in your chart?
Wishing you a passionate month of authentic connection.

Would you say that scorpios are loyal friends, because they are somewhat comfortable with the deep end of feelings? For my birthday I asked my friends to send me a video or audio message instead of the usual 'happy bday' message in the group chat. I told them I needed to feel more connected. I didn't think that would work but many of them delivered! you see, they are NOT the digital types, they barely have smartphones, but I know they are there for me in their own way. This time I pushed them out of their comfort zones and I felt so loved! Cried for 2 hours. lol classic scorpio.
into-me-see - wow i love that!! so many levels.
you dancing with your inner child speaks to me!
